being a teenager

Hello welcome back to my blog!

Or if your new here... hello, your support would mean the world to me if you read along and possibly followed :)

So, despite this only being my second blog I've decided to talk about something quite serious and something I think is very important (nothing like throwing yourself in the deep end aha). Todays topic is, teenagers. Most importantly...

The teenage stereotype.

Society has pinned this label on teenagers that everyone is lazy, rebellious and just doesn't care, but this isn't the case. AT ALL. Most teenagers would die to get praised by adults, they are the people we look up too, we cannot wait to one day be as wise as them. And this is how were repaid? By getting overlooked? By getting called lazy and rebellious? By getting told you don't care about anything?

The stereotype desperately needs to change. Your at such a vulnerable time in your life and its very easy to fall down mentally. In fact 50% of mental health problems are established by 13. Do you really think a stereotype as hard as this one is going to help that? Why not learn to be proud of teenagers? Its so difficult for people of this age to state how there really feeling. I cannot stress this enough YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT SOMEBODY CAN BE DEALING WITH .Were still just kids growing up trying to figure out what the hell to do with our life.

Instead of pin pointing everything wrong with us, how about focusing on the things we do right. Give us guidance to be the best person we can be. Help us find ourselves. And then hopefully, one day. We can abolish the "teen laziness stereotype"

Nobody deserves to be told there lazy. Nor to feel like there not good enough. There is a gigantic amount of pressure on teens in this generation, I'm a teen myself, I see it all first hand. So please, think before you speak :)

If you have any addition thoughts on this please leave a comment, I would love to eventually do a part two to this where I discuss deeper into teenage struggles. Also once again I am asking for tips for literally anything to do with blogging, like I said in my previous blog I'm a total newbie to all this so any guidance is appreciated!
